Hello there šŸ™‚ I’m Tanner (he/him), a Black, queer, art and creativity lover based in Brooklyn, NY on occupied Lenape land. I am also an MSW ’24 candidate at the Silver School at New York University. I earned my B.S. in Music Industry from the University of Southern California and, informed by my previous experiences working in the music industry, am focused on the systems that uniquely impact BIPOC creatives both mentally and emotionally. From visual and performance artists to songwriters, photographers, and more, we can often engage daily with pressures to be creative inside capitalist structures. I am focused on creating a space to communicate through the stressors and anxieties artistic and creative identities interact with.

I am grounded in a strengths based, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and trauma informed perspective; partnering with you at whatever stage of your journey you may be in. I aim to utilize my experiential and academic knowledge to generate a welcoming, open, and collaborative space in which you can explore the thoughts, questions, and ideas that may be swimming in your head. In addition to my studies and field placement at MCM, I love chatting about urbanism and television shows, chilling on a sunny park day, learning about architectural design, and consuming too many baked goods.
