Some things can be difficult to put into words. If you are looking to explore your inner world in a way that can go beyond words, Art Therapy may be right for you. We can make art to process our difficult emotions or to envision something new. What matters most here is in the making, how it feels in your body to make art. I offer you a non-judgmental sanctuary to process events as they unfold in your life. I will be there alongside you, supporting you in your process of self-discovery.
The therapeutic approach that I use is psychodynamic with an emphasis on creative inquiry. The therapeutic work is informed by the latest neuroscience research, Buddhist Psychology, DBT, and somatic practices such as EFT (tapping). In our work together, we may explore art-making, mindfulness techniques, and evidence-based coping skills to produce lasting change. The methods I use help clients work through major life transitions, racial trauma, grief, loss, difficulties in relationships, and processing complex PTSD, among other issues.
