MCM Collaborative is Now a Cooperative!

We’ve got big news: after six years of walking alongside our clients through change and transformation, our practice has made a big change of our own – MCM Collaborative is now a worker-owned cooperative!

Don’t worry, we’ll continue to provide the same quality, culturally-responsive psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families, but now within a business structure that is even more aligned with our values of transparency and collective care. Becoming a worker-owned cooperative is an extension of our shared commitment to supporting queer and trans clinicians of color by being part of the solidarity economy that embraces economic sustainability and worker power.

This transition to a cooperative model is a labor of love for our clients, colleagues and community, rooted in the belief that mental health work can reflect the values held both inside and outside the therapy room, on the couch and in the chair.

We’re excited to share more about this journey and what it means for us and our mental health ecosystem. Until then, you can read the Hell Gate’s article on our co-op conversion.
