If you are looking for someone who is accepting, an advocate and believes in working together to uncover your most authentic self, we could work well together.
Psychotherapy was a foreign concept to me growing up because of my familial and cultural background. Signs of my declining mental health and wellness were overlooked for the vanity of wanting to seem “normal” & the concern for how others would treat me for seeking help, were some of the darkest days of my life. Younger me wishes I had someone to speak to about the confusing thoughts and feelings I was experiencing.
I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to lead the way of our sessions, but understand that each of my clients may require different techniques to reach the goals that are set during our meetings. Our meetings would be client-led, with us working together to understand you and how you experience the
world through your very unique lens. My goal is for clients to leave feeling more like themselves than
when they entered.
I am passionate about supporting communities of color, with an emphasis in working with African
American communities. As a psychotherapist-in-training, I am excited to utilize the techniques and approaches that I’ve learned and read about to assist my clients with accessing and utilizing the tools they require to live a life of fulfillment.
