I am currently seeking members for my support group for queer Black men, Liberated. Any New York resident who identifies as queer, Black and male is encouraged to join. Sign up for an intake here.
I have spent the majority of my career supporting individuals and communities navigating life’s challenges – relationship transitions, childhood trauma, HIV/AIDS, cancer, grief, social injustice, and more. In this work I have been honored to witness many find their unique path on their journey of healing and transformation. As a queer, Black, man I am particularly aware how external and internalized forces impact and impair how we view ourselves in this current social and political moment.
As a therapist I strive to create a safe and welcoming place for you to explore the truth of your experience and trust that you are seen, heard, and valued. In my practice I work to establish a partnership with individuals and couples to understand the hope you hold for your life and relationships. My approach is influenced by psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, somatic, and trauma-informed principles, as well as my work as an artist and spiritual practitioner. Together we will discover the strengths within and use therapeutic tools to help you find greater peace, liberation, and fulfillment for yourself and your relationships.
