Everyone has a right to access pleasure, but many of us believe our value lies in how well we can power through challenges and push beyond our capacity. In alignment with bell hooks’ love ethic that everyone has the right to live fully and be well—I believe that access to wellness is a necessity to a liberated life. As a therapist, I fully embrace collaboration and uphold your expertise as you share and move through your lived experiences.
As a Black, Queer woman, I hold the importance of your village and community of care, and provide a soft and honest place for you to land as you embark on a journey to discover and access pleasure. In our work together we will focus on helping you experience safety in your body. Our work will explore the narratives you’ve received about what makes you valuable and deserving of care. We will hold space for the barriers and challenges that exist internally and externally that curtail living fully and authentically.
I specialize in working with romantic partners, families, and individuals experiencing transition, racialized trauma, sexual trauma, gender-based violence, and structural oppression. I warmly welcome the full spectrum of relational villages including blended families, ethical non-monogamous partnerships, kink and chosen families.
I have a particular passion for working with Black Femmes and integrate a holistic set of supports that focus on internal liberation and well-being.
As written by author Toni Cade Bambara, “wellness is no trifling matter and there’s a lot of weight when you’re well.” I aim to assist my clients in carrying that load by facilitating a space for them to show up fully, experience the full-range of themselves and explore all of their options to being who they want to be.
