As a queer Brown 1st gen. Salvadoreñx my work is influenced by the impact of navigating various systems of oppression and resilience throughout my life. I approach therapy as an exploration, welcoming a sense of (re)discovery and (co)creation. In this way therapy can be mysterious, joyous, something that is both complete and incomplete. I center my practice with the belief that you are the expert in your life. I join you in both formal and informal ways to share with you what I experience when we are together and see what patterns emerge.
I am curious about what has shaped your life; past and present, external and internal, to see how that all shows up. How it shows up in your life, your relationships, in the world you navigate. In this exploration, how you feel about yourself, how you welcome and embrace all parts of yourself, how you grow, are all crucial. How can we find joy in the work and in the growth to lead the life you want to live.
My work is centered in anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and trauma informed practices. I work with people dealing with symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and body image issues, and with people addressing race, gender and sexuality. I am also trained in EMDR.
