I believe there is magic in being seen by another, and I hope to build a therapeutic relationship that allows you to be your most authentic self, reflect on the entire spectrum of your experiences, and nurture specific or general life goals (or figure out what they are!).
I completed a Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in mental health at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Since then, I have worked closely with women from low SES communities, LGBTQIA+ youth in adverse circumstances and high-school students working on holistic development. I speak Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi and can conduct our sessions in those languages.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in a feminist, trauma-informed, and queer-affirmative lens. As a queer person of color and an immigrant, I understand that the path to healing can look radically different for each person and I am committed to meeting you where you are at to create a collaborative space to safeguard your growth.
